Why is there a placement test before the telc exam?

We carry out the placement test to check the language level of the participants and to ensure that only people with sufficient language skills take the telc exam. As places in the telc exam are limited and in high demand, we want to ensure that there are as few failed attempts as possible and that participants generally pass the test on their first attempt.
